I bought this from J&R Music through Amazon to replace another Sony remote for a VCR/DVD combo unit and a tv remote. Needless to say the combo unit did not have a code that worked but the unit seemed to figure it out on it's own (I guess being a Sony too); and I finally also figured that hitting the "recall" button switched from VCR to DVD, The remote works fine and I love it though I have yet to get the learning function to work properly. As usual, following the instructions doesn't get it done. Someone else with more savy might do better and all-in-all a good device.Customer Review: great product

The only small problem with the remote is you cannot macro program the power button. You can macro alot of buttons but some people need ultimate simplicity. The buttons are big though and it's perfect otherwise without spending a fortune. Customer Review: couldn'tget it to work.

I'm sure there are remotes with more features, but this one works great and learns from other remotes just fine. I've had no problems with it, and it's nice to get all the components of my media center on the same remote.
