The disc-based recording system allows for quick access to favorite scenes and pictures without the fuss of rewinding and fast-forwarding. Thumbnail images of video are created from the start of every recorded scene.

When recording on a DVD-RW disc, users have the flexibility to do some simple in-camera editing. Additionally, when in VR (video recording) mode, you can design a playlist of video clips and rearrange the order of the scenes and images without modifying the video.

You can also shoot JPEG still images for viewing on either your PC or TV. The DCR-DVD200 incorporates a 1.0-megapixel imager to produce higher-quality video and still image resolution (up to 1,152 x 864 pixels). The 3-inch DVD disc will store thousands of still shots at the highest resolution.

• Ultrafast USB 2.0 connectivity (works seamlessly with USB 1.1 interface as well).

• Super SteadyShot Picture Stabilization uses motion sensors to compensate for camera shake, eliminating high-frequency vibration without compromising picture quality.
