I recently used this mic to record a wedding. I placed the mic inside the Preacher's coat pocket. And other than some rustling sounds, it worked great. I was able to hear the preacher, the bride and the groom almost perfectly. Even when the bride and groom would whisper!
The only complaint I have is the light on the mic and on it's receiver. There is this distracting blue bar that seems really bright. It's purpose is to confirm the connection between the two. It can be solved with a strip of dark tape, but it looks a little tacky.
Overall, great product...and a must have!

Video taped a pro boxing event and Tom (trainer) had the transmitter around his neck. I was 100+ feet away and picked him up as clear as day. Used mic as center speaker of surrond sound system. I wonder if Tom talks like that all the time. I bought an ear piece that pluged into the receiver and was able to listen durning the fight so to be sure I was getting everything. This product works as good as advertised. For video's of kids and grandkids this is a must have for video's of there school programs and sports events.

The cube plugs into the top of your video camera (HDV Handycam in my case). The Sensor goes where the sound is coming from. That's it.
OK, don't expect surround sound from a voice oriented clip-on. But gee, there's nothing else to do. OK, you can plug earphones into the cube)to monitor.

I used this microphone wiht My DCR - SR80. I used this when I had an outside wedding. It was great. There was a few times where it cut out but I think it was because it was in my husbands pocket. I would recommend this product if you taping anything outside where you need to hear people. The only downfall is its expensive. I actually received it free because I bought the DCR - SR80 from Amazon.Customer Review: What a difference !!!!!
