I bought this item to use with my MP3 player both at home and at work and am very pleased with this purchase. The best part is that no batteries are needed and therefore I never have to worry about not having quality sound at all times. (I dislike using speakers with batteries and hearing static each time the batteries start "dying"). This speaker is also extremely compact and fits nicely in my purse. In fact, I like it so much that I convinced my sister to purchase one for her iPod and she too loves it! She uses hers in her car when traveling. I don't think you'll be disappointed with a compact speaker like this.
