Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter for iPod (Black)Customer Review: Cool concept but it skips alot when playing music. Summary: 3 StarsJust got this transmitter. The concept is cool. I hooked it up to my ipod classic and Moto S9 HDs. Connects easily. Very good fidelity, but the music does skip. When browsing through music and listening to a song it will skip. It skips when the LCD on the ipod powers off to save battery life if you're listening to music when that happens. It skips if you shuffle through songs quickly. I know this isn't my ipod or S9s because the S9s work awesome listening to music on my PC or cell phone, and the ipod doesn't produce skipping music when i have regular corded ear buds plugged in. So, in short, I like the idea, i'll probably still use it unless the situation gets unbearable, especially if it is worse when excercising in which case i'll send it back, but it creates a sort of CD skipping while jogging effect a little too frequently for me to be 100% enthusiastic about it right nwo.
Customer Review: 60 seconds from package to tunes Summary: 5 StarsThis baby just WORKS. I use with Insignia Bluethooth headphones (not carried by Amazon for some reason). Within a minute of opening the package, I had the transmitter plugged into my 5th gen iPod Video, paired, and rocking and rolling. The fidelity is very good, with no noticeable cut-out in my front, back, or jacket pockets. The effective range for me is at least 30 feet. It also works through at least one obsrtucting bedroom wall. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Sony Bluetooth Wireless IPOD Transmitter Summary: 3 StarsThis chip works pretty well but does not transmit clearly for the distance that it claimed to transmit. I get good reception on my IPOD within 10 or 13 feet, after that the reception is intermittent or cuts out.
Customer Review: This works great! Summary: 5 StarsI've use this with my 80gig ipod, and my iogear bluetooth headphones and couldn't be happier. No more wires!!
Customer Review: Quest for a good Bluetooth iPod Solution Summary: 5 StarsI've been searching for the best Bluetooth iPod solution. I started with a Jabra A125S unit. Works well, but has a battery life of only 6 hours. Then I tried the Motorola D650. What a piece of junk! The D650 drains the iPod battery rapidly, constantly loses synch with the headset, is difficult to resynch, and generally performs poorly. Then I found Sony's TMR-BT8IP. Wow! This is the best iPod Bluetooth solution to date. The Sony TMR-BT8IP is powered by the iPod, but does not greatly reduce the iPod's play time. The TMR-BT8IP has intelligent power conservation, is easy to synch, and is less prone to interuptions from microwaves, computers, etc. The TMR-BT8IP is expensive, but worth it!
