Okay, like what you're doing right now, I did a lot of research before buying this item. I've bought lots of stuff before but trust this pocket camcorder by far had the most number of idiot haters. Instead of a normal review let me try and put some things straight. These are some of the reasons why people hate it..
1. The auto focus is horrible.
2. It doesn't have a flash.
3. Low light performance sucks.
4. Clicking noise when recording.
5. Stupid tripod mount.
6. No expandable memory.
1. This is the least stupid of the lot. I agree there are better auto focus systems out there. But then again you are not buying a 500$ camcorder. So don't expect to easily compose shots like a lone flower with the rest of the scene blurred out. This is NOT a dedicated camcorder. Instead use the auto focus to your advantage and know that it'd focus MUCH FASTER if the whatever you wanna focus on dominates the screen (daylight makes focusing even easier).
2. Bloggie produces the best still images in the pocket camcorder class BY FAR. It's 13 megapixels for gods sake. It's well in the digicam category. There are lots of camcorders out there that doesn't even let you capture a still image let alone in 13MP resolution.. Like *cough* flip *cough*.. And people still want a full xenon flash in this thing? Next thing is the battery getting drained due to the flash and more people whining about low battery life.
3. This is another funny thing. I mean seriously. This thing has among the best low light performances in the segment. Way better than flip. Keep in mind this is a 150$ pocket camcorder. DON'T COMPARE it to something 5 times its size and cost.
4. Most moving lens system would make some amount of noise while it moves. This is true for all pocket camcorders with a movable lens system. STOP placing your finger over the mic and amplifying the internal lens noise and you'd be fine. NO clicking noise no nothing.
5. There are tripods that actually swivel 90 degrees. The bloggie would only work on that.
6. This is up to you guys. Personally I love not wanting to carry those little cards around. And I find 8GB more than enough for me. Another thing is that the built flash memory is fast enough for 1080p vid recording you don't have to worry about buying cheapo cards thats not fast enough.
If you still need a 50$ camcorder with Xenon flash, 15MP stills, 1080p video, 100 hour battery life, 30x optical zoom and want it in a size smaller than a cell phone. Just wait 6-8 years and let the technology catch up to your idiotic dreams.

Among the best in class quality video in daylight.
Best in class low light performance. (NOWHERE NEAR DEDICATED CAMCORDERS but can give some cheap digi cams a run for its money)
13 MP stills... mhmmm do I really need my digi cam?
Full 1080p recording
Auto macro for that close up shots and videos.
Still image capture while recording. (This is really easy technically, I have no idea why the manufacturers dont put it in)
Very small size + touch screen + looks cool!
5 stars because this is THE BEST IN CLASS by far.
