Customer Review: A nice case for a jewel of a camera

The case is a useful device as it enables you to use the camera and then easily tuck it away into its case, with a minimum of fuss.Because of its snug fit, there is no room for additional accessories such as a spare battery or a CF card. Sony also sells a larger strap which incorporates a small pouch to fit such items into.
It is advertised as fitting the camera with its hood mounted. I must confess to being unable to achieve this -- perhaps because the case is new, it may stretch slightly over time. However, the hood does reverse and fit onto the lens enabling it to fit into the case.
Sony has thought of everything -- the camera is probably the most intelligently designed (and beautifully built) cameras on the market today.
If you are one of those that travels with everything, then a dedicated camera and accessory case is probably more for you. However, given the design of this case, it could easily fit into a larger bag, enabling a day trip with camera only with some protection. One other downside, is that you will need to remove the bottom part of the case (which separates and attaches to the base of the camera) to charge the battery, as that section of the case prevents access to the power charging port at the rear of the camera.
I give it four and a half stars.
